Anaula

Day 1
Today, we start our nature and cultural experience departing from Paramaribo in a southerly direction. On the way, we pass the impressive forest giants and villages on this road. After about 190 km, we arrive at the mooring town of Atjoni before starting an exciting canoe trip. We sail for about 50 minutes by motorised canoe to the comfortable Anaula Nature Resort, located at the foot of the Ferullasi Falls, where you will also spend the night. During this cruise, we encounter breathtaking nature and various Maroon villages. We also pass the turbulent Jaw-Jaw rapids.
 
After a light buffet lunch in our beautiful dining room, check-in will occur. After this, you will have the opportunity to explore the resort. In the morning, we sail by canoe to a nearby swimming facility in the Ferullasi rapids, where we can relax, swim and enjoy a natural bubble bath.
 
Before dinner, we go on an exciting adventure in search of caimans. During this night cruise, you can also enjoy the beautiful starry sky and experience the total silence of the Amazon rainforest.
 
Day 2
After breakfast, you will sail by canoe to the village of Nieuw Aurora for a village walk. You will get to know the local people, their unique way of life, and their traditional habits and customs. You will visit the mission post with, among other things, a church, a primary school and a medical centre. You will take a forest walk on the resort's island in the afternoon. After the forest walk, you can cool off in the swimming pool at the resort. After dinner, it's time for a cultural dance performance.
 
Note: the cultural dance evening is only offered with a minimum of 8 guests.
 
Day 3
You can fill this morning according to your needs. You can swim, take a walk in the woods, relax at the pool or in a hammock, or enjoy nature in peace. After lunch, we sail back to Atjoni, where we depart by bus to Paramaribo.
