Brownsberg day trip

Enjoy the range of flora and fauna that the Surinamese rainforest offers. On the mountain, you can enjoy a stunning view of the surroundings. So you can look down on the Blommenstein Dam and hear the roar of monkeys.

After leaving Paramaribo towards Brokopondo, we’ll make a 30-minute stop at Paranam (the bauxite refinery). We are ready to take this opportunity to give you some information about the event bauxite in Suriname since early 1900. 
 
Arriving at Brownsberg, you will have a brisk 20-minute walk on foot to a viewing point where you will enjoy lunch over a beautiful view of the nature reserve and Brokopondo
reservoir. You return to base before heading on a 45-minute hike; you will reach Leo fall. You also have the option to continue walking to Irene fall (a moderately more demanding hike). 
 
Feel free to immerse yourself under the waterfalls and enjoy a natural massage. You’ll then climb back up to the base for refreshments before our departure back to Paramaribo.
